pyhelpers.dbms.utils.import_data(db_instance, data, schema_name, table_name, data_name='data', prefix='', suffix='', confirmation_required=True, verbose=False, **kwargs)[source]

Import data into the project database.

Parameters:
  • db_instance (Any) – A class instance for handling the database.

  • data (pandas.DataFrame) – Data to import (from a local directory).

  • schema_name (str) – Name of the schema where the table resides.

  • table_name (str) – Name of the table where data will be imported.

  • data_name (str) – Name identifier for the data; defaults to "data".

  • prefix (str) – Prefix to prepend to data_name; defaults to ''.

  • suffix (str) – Suffix to append to data_name; defaults to ''.

  • confirmation_required (bool) – Whether to request confirmation before proceeding; defaults to True.

  • verbose (bool | int) – Whether to print relevant information to the console; defaults to False.

  • kwargs – [Optional] Additional parameters for the method PostgreSQL.import_data() or MSSQL.import_data().
